ABOUT THIS EVENT The fourth Annual Edward Brophy Ride for Life is a great opportunity for all levels of cyclists to enjoy the beautiful Woodstock countryside while raising money for a good cause. Choose from a 6, 12, 18 or 30-mile ride, then cool off at the Woodstock Water Works! Always a very upbeat and positive person who reminded everyone to smile, Ed Brophy was diagnosed with Leukemia in 1986. Ed's example for living life while undergoing treatment is a lasting legacy to all of us. Unfortunately, Leukemia took Ed's life in May of 1988, but his positive attitude will last with us forever. Come and celebrate the memory of Ed's life with family and friends for a fun event that helps to raise funds for a worthy cause.

COURSE There will be 4 bike courses to challenge all levels of cyclists. The 6, 12 and 18 mile courses begin and end at the Woodstock Water Works, 1313 Kishwaukee Valley Road, at Emricson Park, Woodstock,Illinois. The 30 mile course will start and finish at Woodstock Water Works with a rest stop at Coral Woods. The rest stop at Coral Woods will offer relaxation and refreshments. There will be vans along the course to provide cyclists assistance with mechanical difficulties. The course will close at 4:00 P.M.

FACILITIES Restroom facilities will be available at Woodstock Water Works and the Coral Woods Rest Stop. After the ride, stop by for a post-ride snack, and to enjoy a dip in the pool or shower at the Water Works Center. Admission to the Woodstock Water Works pool and shower, is free to cyclists and their immediate families.

SCHEDULE
7:30AM - 11:00AM Registration and Packet Pick-up. Bike course opens to riders.
11:00AM Open Swim at Woodstock Water Works.
11:00AM - 5:00PM Raffle, Refreshments, Swimming, Entertainment by the band "PLAN B"

TRAINING Never biked 30 miles before? We offer a beginner's cyclist Training Program. Coach Jason Blake is available via email to answer your questions.

SPONSORSHIP The Ride For Life committee is seeking business and individuals who would like to help sponsor the event. Pledges can be raised through a variety of methods - corporate sponsorship, personal donations or any other fundraising activity. All donations benefit the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which supports individuals with these blood borne diseases, and their families. Your donation also supports research for a cure. All donations are tax-deductible. The minimum donation per cyclist is $40.00.

PLATINUM ($1,000) Company name listed on printed materials and event t-shirts, PLUS one free t-shirt. Ad on website. Company name in a "mile marker" along the path. Also, company name printed in large letters on top of all other event sponsors.

GOLD ($500) Company name listed on printed material and event t-shirts, PLUS one free t-shirt. Ad on website. Company name on a "mile marker" along path.

SILVER ($250) Company name listed on printed material and event t-shirts, PLUS one free t-shirt. Ad on website.

BRONZE ($100) Company name listed on printed material, PLUS one free t-shirt.

THE AMERICAN NAPRAPATHIC ASSOCIATION This ride is supported and staffed by members of the American Naprapathic Association and their families. Naprapathy has a long, rich history in the state of Illinois and we are proud to provide free on-site Naprapathic treatments pre-race and post- race. If you have never experienced the healing benefits of Naprapathy, now is your opportunity. Stop by the tent for your free evaluation and treatment and a list of Naprapaths in your area. No ride day registration will be allowed.
